Lightning Ridge Pool heat Pipeline
In Feb 2010 TWS completed the Design & Construction of a heating / cooling pipeline whereby artesian 65degree water is used to heat potable water in an Olympic standard diving complex through heat exchangers, and return the artesian water to the WTP for further treatment benefiting the township by reducing the supply water by 15 degrees. The pipeline was excavated through ‘shin cracker’ with hand dressing required along streets of Lightning Ridge with the 1800m return pipeline and valve control station / pump VFD upgrade completed in under 5 weeks.
